The Burrage, Boston:

A wonderful Beaux-Arts castle in Boston's Back Bay. Designed by Charles Brigham, it is located at the corner of Commonwealth Ave. and Hereford Streets, just one block from the convention center.

The Burrage, a cherub and a gargoyleThe dragons of the Burrage are a real treat

Over the front entrance, a winged cherub with a dragon licking his arm, and to the lower left of the same photo is a screaming demon. The carvings are a real treat, and represent many decades of work by a group of extremely skilled carvers and sculptors.
